Associate Tax Intern
As an Associate Audit Intern, your role will be to gain hands-on experience in tax by developing technical skills through working as part of a team performing tasks under close coaching and supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual and entity income and information tax returns
• Develop a working knowledge of individual tax compliance laws
• Develop working knowledge of the firm’s tax preparation software
• Clear review points on returns as outlined by supervisory staff
• Clearly document procedures performed within firm’s client project software
• Keep up-to-date time records in firm’s client project software
• Develop ability to generate Quickbooks reports
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned to meet client expectations
• Work period – 24 hours per week (minimum 4 hour block) January through April 15th
Qualifications/Skills/Personal Attributes:
• Concurrently working toward accounting or related degree
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to arrive on time to work site and clearly communicate schedule to supervisors
• Planning to sit for the CPA Exam
