When the Petaluma People Services Center put out a call for valentine cards for low income senior citizens who receive Meals On Wheels, they were hoping for around 250 cards. Much to their surprise, they received 3,000 valentine cards, and we are glad to say that a number of them were made here in the Petaluma office by our staff on their lunch hour. Some cards came from as far away as Sacramento. While we are proud of the artistic efforts of our staff, it’s a good thing they’re terrific accountants because I don’t think Hallmark will be calling anytime soon. It was fun to participate in this call to action and gratifying to know that we were part of such a huge community response.
